ZORAM INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

The Zoram Industrial Development Corporation Limited (ZIDCO) previously MSIDC, was set up under the Companies Act, 1956 on 27th February, 1978. ZIDCO is a joint venture of the Government of Mizoram and IDBI in the share ratio of 51:49. The initial authorized share capital was Rs.3.00 crores which was increased to Rs.10 crores and Rs.15 crores. No further increased till 31.3.2008.
The paid up capital as on 31.3.2006 comes to Rs.1578.10, (Government of Mizoram Rs.1150.10 lacs, (IDBI Rs.428.00 lacs.)
Registered office of ZIDCO is located at Aizawl, State Capital of Mizoram. Till date ZIDCO is having one Branch office at Lunglei. The Branch Office covers three districts viz- Lunglei, Lawngtlai and Saiha.
ZIDCO is governed by Board of Directors appointed by Governor of Mizoram. The Governor also appointed one of the Directors as a Chairman of the Board, Managing Director who is also chief executive of the corporation is appointed as member – Secretary to the Board.
